Where Have We Been?

I feel like I have a lot of blogging to do to catch everyone up. We've been on vacation for the past week and a half, where we made a round trip to Milwaukee, then off to Cincinnati and back home. We loved spending time with some of our favorite people and really wish the time hadn't gone by so quickly. We were cramming in as much visiting and activities as we could, because our trip was cut short by two days, since I had to get back home to get ready for Honduras. So we've been home for a few hours, I'm all packed up and I'm headed right back out the door at 7:30 a.m.. We wanted to get a quick glance at our vacation photos, before we head off to our new adventures, so here are a few from our trip to Milwaukee we'd like to share with you.

Rest area fun... We stopped for lunch and stretched our legs a little, after hours of driving.

We attempted to go see the fireworks over Lake Michigan...but we were behind a tree line that unfortunately ate our view. We enjoyed a great night with our great friends, the Washington's, though and no fireworks could beat that.

Denise OBVIOUSLY loves having her picture taken...

...about as much as she enjoys taking them... :/
(a little higher, Denise. lol)

We spent the 4th of July with Rob's mom, Jean. We went to church the morning of and to a barbecue at Rob's Aunt Doris' house that afternoon. It was so good to spend time with all of the Milwaukee family. We miss them already!

This picture is so funny...only because after church, Mekyla wanted to spend the afternoon with Nana, so she went with her while we took Kreid to take a nap before the barbecue. It was like we left her one girl and found her to be a whole new girl just a few short hours later. I think she soaked up her time with Nana being the only grandchild for an afternoon, because she was in full-on diva mode by the time we got back to her. Crazy girl!

Finally, on our way out of town, we decided to go to Bradford Beach on Lake Michigan. It wasn't exactly warm enough to complete the "beach scene," but it was certainly beautiful enough.

We have a few more photos from Cincinnati to come later. I guess those will have to wait until after Honduras.
