2011 Father-Daughter Purity Ball

You would think that a 7-year-old high-spirited, funny girl, such as Mekyla would count down the days until Christmas or her birthday. Nope! Not this girl. She counts down the days until the Father-Daughter Purity Ball. She has had her dress since last fall and has been anxiously awaiting her grand evening with her favorite man on earth...her daddy. She and Rob got in their snazziest outfits and prepared for a super-fun evening of dinner, dancing and CANDY!

Since I volunteer at the Hope Pregnancy Center, I always want to help with this sweet event. This year, not only was it sweet to see daddies and their little princesses, it was sweetened with a Candy Bar. No, not a candy bar like a Snickers, but a buffet of candy. It was so cute and the girls LOVED it. I didn't volunteer the night that Mekyla and Rob attended, but from what I hear, she was a riot, nearly bouncing off of the walls. I'm telling you, that girl LOVES to go on this special date with her daddy.

Here are some photos from their evening. It is so hard for me to look at these photos and see my sweet little girl. She's getting so big and is certainly not that cute, chubby little toddler with the bouncing curls anymore. But, she's as beautiful as ever, if I do say so myself. :)

The boys and I had plans with friends for game night the night of the Purity Ball, so Xzayvier and I didn't get to go on our Mommy-Zay date that night, but Rob and I took him out the next day, just him. We took him to lunch at a pizza place (his favorite) and then hit the bowling alley. Fun times!
