Snow Day(s)

Though we see some pretty cold temperatures here in the south, we do not see snow very often. And if we do, it's usually that dusty, gone with the wind snow. To our surprise, and the forecasters too, apparently, we got about six inches of GOOD snowball makin' snow over the past two days. We had a good time playing in the snow and making yummy snow cream.

We were surprised to find out that Chaser LOVES to play in the snow. He especially loved to be thrown a snow ball to catch. It was hilarious.
I love this picture!

The funniest thing was, once the snowball hit the ground and blended with all the other snow, he would ONLY eat the snowball. Weirdo.

You'll notice that Xzayvier isn't in any of these photos. He haaaaates cold weather. Bless his heart, he wants nothing to do with snow.

Well...unless it's edible. He seems to like snow cream. We ALL do. :)

I made two kinds of snow cream. One for the kids and Rob and one for myself, since I am eating all natural.

The good creamy snow cream...
2 Cup Whipping Cream
2 Tbsp. Sugar
5-10 drops Vanilla Stevia (you could probably vanilla extract in place)
4-6 Cups of snow

Mix the cream, sugar and stevia first. Then gradually mix in snow to desired texture.

The good clean snow cream...
1 Cup Skim Milk
4-5 drops of Vanilla Stevia
2-3 Cups of snow

Mix milk and stevia first, then gradually add in desired amount of snow. This one is definitely not as creamy, but I added some pureed strawberries and it was DELICIOUS!

Sprinkle on some fun, and the kids are thrilled. ;)
And Rob too...
