Where Have We Been?

You might be wondering where we've been. Well, quite a few places, actually. I have not posted in some time now, and since the last post we've been to Tampa, Florida, Grand Cayman Island, Cozumel, Mexico and Enterprise, Alabama. Crazy...but so fun. Rob recently returned from a deployment and not a week later, we were heading out of town. The kids were out of school for Fall Break a few weeks ago and Rob and I took Mekyla and Xzayvier to spend the week with my dad in Tampa (my mom came to stay with Kreid here in Tennessee). While they enjoyed their Florida vacation, we boarded a cruise ship and sailed away for some much-needed relaxation and quality time...with no kids (that was the key to the relaxation part of the deal).

After the kids got out of school, we packed up and headed south. We drove all night, which surprisingly, turned out to be a great idea, because the kids slept most of the way, eliminating the frequent stops. We arrived at my dad's house Saturday afternoon, hung out with them for a bit, and then kissed the kids and told them to have a great vacation. We were about to do the same. We met up with our friends Josh and Amie, who were going on the cruise too, and we sailed off into paradise...and a hurricane. We had an absolute blast and can't wait to plan another fun vacation. We might even take the kids next time. :)

This was the delicious dessert that we all four got ever evening. I think it was the only reason we went to eat at that specific restaurant. Chocolate melting cake, YUM!
